Nicole M Arteaga M.Ed. is a dedicated kindergarten teacher with 17 years of experience inspiring young learners through curiosity, creativity, and connection. As a proud Mexican American and the first in her family to graduate from college and earn a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and micro masters in instructional design. Nicole brings a rich cultural perspective to her work. She is passionate about fostering a love of learning in her students, designing developmentally appropriate experiences that build confidence and lay the foundation for lifelong success.
Expanding her expertise in curriculum to include instructional design marked a transformative moment in her career. Today, Nicole collaborates with fellow educators beyond her classroom to refine teaching practices and develop meaningful learning opportunities that adapt to students’ evolving needs. Embodying the spirit of TEA(ch) N Glow, Nicole finds joy in inspiring educators to embrace growth and drive meaningful change.

Nancy Colattur is a seasoned psychotherapist with over 35 years of clinical experience, dedicated to guiding individuals through life’s most difficult challenges with compassion and expertise. Her extensive career spans multiple therapeutic settings-including inpatient, outpatient and residential care-before establishing her private practice, where she has been helping clients for the past 15 years.

Specializing in grief and trauma, anxiety, depression and substance abuse, Nancy employs a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction). Known for her warm and engaging approach, she fosters a collaborative environment and provides a therapeutic healing experience for each individual that she works with.

As an extension of her clinical practice, Nancy is also a dedicated mentor and advocate for the next generation of mental health professionals and a volunteer provider for the Give An Hour program, offering pro bono mental health services to those with human-made trauma that have significant barriers to accessing mental health care. With a rich academic background in psychology, social work and sociology, she champions cross-disciplinary collaboration, providing consultation and training to improve accessibility and quality of care within mental health and healthcare systems.

Through reflective exercises and therapeutic frameworks, Nancy helps educators navigate the complexities of change, manage stress, and reassert their sense of purpose. Her contributions to TEA(ch) N Glow bridge the gap between mental health and education, providing teachers with tools to not only support their students but also prioritize their own emotional and psychological well-being.
